The flight from Alice Springs
highlights the magnificence and vastness of the Australian interior.
Marvel at Uluru (Ayers Rock) from the air before landing at Ayers
Rock Airport where you transfer directly to your 4WD and personal
guide for your journey out to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) passing
by the Spinifex grasslands and Mulga trees. Your first stop is
at a dune lookout which puts you in touch with the environment
and lets you delight in the spectacular panoramic view of Kata
Tjuta (the Olgas) - a very sacred place to the Aboriginal people.
Arriving at Walpa Gorge, we walk into this mystic place, to hear
how it has evolved over millions of years.
After exploring the
area we leave the sheer red walls and head to Ayers Rock Resort
for an Australian style lunch.
When we arrive at Uluru (Ayers
Rock) a short walk will bring you close to this wonderful and
powerful place. View rock art,
waterholes and appreciate the unique flora and fauna of Uluru.
But most fascinating is the relationship of Anangu to Uluru,
you will see where the people lived and carried out ceremonies.
As you get back in the plane you now know that from a distance
Uluru is spectacular; from close up it is powerful and deeply
moving.
The most spectacular experience is saved for last with
an aerial tour of Uluru and Kata Tjuta at sunset before returning
to Alice
Springs. A sight that will live in your memories long after your
return home. |
